Bow down

We all see parents forcing their children to bow down before the Guru Granth Sahib and they start early as 3 months old but is there real value in this?

If we are going to expect the next generation to carry on values and beliefs we need to teach them to respect knowledge and the Granth Sahib's teachings and values not the hard cover and paper it is made of.

I believe by teaching people the core values of Sikhi and general concept of respect for knowledge we will have a generation that will without thought express genuine feeling on the actions they perform instead of a notation of what is expected of them from a societal stand point.
